Employment Services
The Arc of the St Johns has a Team of specialist, State-certified Employment Coaches, who provide one of the most effective and successful Supported Employment programs in St Johns County.
Working in conjunction with a wide variety of employers (our Community partners), the Supported Employment program is designed to provide both gainful and meaningful employment opportunities within the community for people with intellectual disabilities – and often when community-based employment has never occurred before for the participating individual.
Supported Employment then helps each client to maintain competitive employment through a variety of methods, such as ongoing specialized training, individually tailored supervision, assistive technology and transportation services.
The Arc of the St Johns also provides Supported Employment services in conjunction with Vocational Rehabilitation, who refer clients to us who require a more specialized and targeted approach to achieve and then maintain their employment goals.
