Your Senior Resources Centre

We’re Celebrating 50 Years, five decades of serving seniors and their families in Elder Affairs.

Health & Wellness Program

Adult primary care is provided by Day Medical Centre, with an emphasis on spending quality time with each patient individually. In order to help seniors maintain their independence for as long as possible, we also offer Care Management, which gives them access to high-quality care and aid with everyday tasks.

Social Coonection Program

Whether you want to see amazing live entertainment, meet new people, learn a new skill, get active, have fun, or all of the above, this venue is the place for you. The place to be is the Kane Centre! Helping our community keep healthy, get active, eat properly, and seek help is our main objective.

Memory Services Program

Get the respite care you deserve, access the resources you require, and enhance the time you spend with your loved one. For those suffering from early memory loss, the Integrative Memory Enhancement approach (IMEP) is a dynamic, highly successful, research-based therapy approach.

Serving seniors and caregivers in St. Johns County, Florida

St. Johns County Council on Aging (COA) has been dedicated to serving St. Johns County’s older adults, their families, and caregivers since 1974.

During that first year, COA served a daily congregate meal to 60 participants and delivered Meals on Wheels to just six homebound elders. Today, we serve nearly 90,000 meals per year and operate six senior centers and lifelong learning centers, a memory enhancement center, and a therapeutic adult daycare center. This just barely scratches the surface of the services we provide.

COA offers a comprehensive array of services that help older adults maintain their independence, remain in the comfort of their homes for as long as possible, and enjoy quality of life at every age. Our programs and services are available to anyone in St. Johns County. They can be paid for privately, or if you are over 60 and qualify, they may be subsidized.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are able to accomplish our expansive mission through the generous financial support of our funders, our donors, and the caring commitment of local volunteers. Along with our partners in the community, we are dedicated to being there for older adults and caregivers and supporting them in enjoying their best lives at every age.
