On a recent Saturday evening more than 300 gathered for what was termed a night to remember — a celebration of Project 2-4-20.
The occasion was the inaugural ALS Gala charity event, a celebration to continue the journey toward achieving a mission Keith Jones created. Project 2-4-20 was his goal – to live one day past his 50th birthday.
He did not reach his goal, as more than a year ago, at age 38, he lost his battle with ALS. However, a dedicated group of friends and relatives has united to continue Keith’s mission to raise funds for ALS in hopes of finding a cure and providing hope for patients diagnosed with this horrible disease.
“It was a wonderful evening of dinner, dancing, a skeet shoot off, and lots of fun at the Rod & Gun Club,” Alicia Young Jones, Keith’s widow says of the recent celebration.
